Signs to Look out for:
Different Ways to Level Your Home
Depending on the house, location, environment, soil types, and age of the home, there are multiple steps that needs to be taken in order assess what type of Leveling needs to be done save your house from potential sinking or structural failure. These are a few ways to you can level your house:
Cement Grout Underpinning
In the cases where the holes below the houses are large and locateable, Cement Grout Underpinning is a very popular method of stopping a house which is subsiding. It is a preventive method for stopping the house from sinking as it adds support to the structure of your house and removed any strain that it might have previously had. To achieve this results, we pump a special mix into the holes that are located during the assessment. This is a non-shrink cement grout that is giving support to the foundation as the soil hasn't been able to. With its non-shrink technology, the cement gout takes the shape and form of the hole, as it instantly dries up to fit the mold of the missing soil area.
Wood Stumps vs Concrete Stumps vs Steel Stumps
The most popular method of Restumping is often done by using Steel stumps or Concrete Stumps. Either of these provide better support and last longer than that of wood. Steel and Concrete are not susceptible to the same weaknesses that wood often has with soil. Change in temperature, increased humidity, rainfall, floods, and many other environmental factors can cause Wood Stumps to deteriorate in quality.
While Galvanised Steel and Concrete are much stronger against harsher environment and are resistant to things like termites, and long term warping. An advantage that come with Steel Stumps are that they are adjustable on site which makes installation easier taking less time and effort. Regardless, Restumping is a difficult and dirty job, which requires experienced professionals to handle the task for a stronger structure.
Steel Pile Underpinning
Get your Home nailed to the ground! In a more technical sense, steel piles underpinning is a method of using steel piles that are dilled down deep into the grown using special excavators that are then fixed with brackets that are attached to your homes structures. This method of Underpinning is popular amongst homes where the land is considered often unstable. If you live in an area that is prone to flooding or built on reclaimed land, then Steel pile Underpinning is a way to protect your homes structures as these rainstorms and floods can cause your home to subside due to soil erosion and sink quicker. Methods such Cement Grout may not be the most suitable, as you may have to keep filling the holes that are eroded away with the rainfall.

Mass Concrete Underpinning
Mass Concrete underpinning is the most common form of Underpinning technique to support sinking homes. Compared to the other techniques that have been discussed before, Mass concrete follows simpler steps for homes that do not require these special techniques. It is straightforward and rather inexpensive to implement compared to Steel Pipe Underpinning or Cement Grout Underpinning. In this process, we dig out large holes underneath your house and build square/rectangle shaped boxed piers and fill it with concrete as it support the structure of your home. Client Says
Here from what our client had to say about us and the quality of work along with the Professionalism of our team.
Bill was very professional and punctual. I don't know anything about underpinning or re-piering and he took the time to explain and allow me to understand what the process will be. I had 2 other contractors have a look and quote me and after meeting with Bill, I realised they took advantage of my lack of knowledge and literally tried to rip me off. Bill's honesty and service is 2nd to NONE!!!
